Peter Piek is a German painter, multi-instrumentalist, performance artist, philosopher and author who was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1981. He studied at Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts from 2002 to 2006 during which he founded an alternative art school with his peer Michael Goller that probably defined his artistic practice more than his formal education. 

 

He lives in Leipzig but loves working on the road; therefore; he has been on very productive travels around the USA, China and Europe with dozens of exhibitions spreading to a variety of countries, and numerous concerts. He uses vivid colors and questions the relatedness of pictorial elements. He considers the creative process as a dialog with the medium either be it painting, music or writing.
